Since PSI's inception in 1979, our mission has been to design and manufacture state-of-the-art transverse-discharge, long pulsed CO2 lasers. Our goal has been to produce reliable, quality, user-friendly products at affordable prices. This continues to be our mission, goal and philosophy at PSI. PSI's revolutionary technology continues to offer products for new application areas in industrial, medical and research areas for pulsed CO2 lasers.
Pulse Systems, Inc. was
founded in July 1979 for the purpose of developing operating prototypes and subsequent commercialization of a unique technology in pulsed CO2 lasers. This technology has wide spread industrial, medical and research applications and offers significant competitive advantages over currently available units. In many cases customer requirements and objectives not previously obtainable, can be achieved with this pulsed CO2 laser technology. The technology provides substantial improvements in reliability, safety, size and power requirements, as well as, manufacturing and operating costs savings for long pulsed CO2 lasers.
The President and co-founder, Edward J. McLellan, previously held a position with Los Alamos National Laboratory, where he was a lead scientist in the research field of pulsed CO2 lasers and here the first patented technology was invented in the late 1970s.
Moving into the new millennium, PSI continues to offer new products through prototypes and subsequent commercialization of the unique pulsed CO2 laser technology for expanding applications.
